A Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and Director of Endoscopy at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. He is a full-time clinical gastroenterologist at Indiana University Hospital and personally performs about 2,500 endoscopic procedures per year. He recently co-authored the colorectal cancer screening recommendations of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is currently the Chairman of the U.S. Multi-Society (ACG, ASGE, AGA, ACP-ASIM) Task Force on Colorectal Cancer and the former President of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Guido Tytgat
Professor Emeritus of Gastroenterology at the University of Amsterdam and member of the Royal Dutch Academy of Science. He is a member of numerous professional societies and the President of the World Organization of Gastroenterology. He sits on the Board of many leading peer-reviewed professional journals and is the Associate Editor of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Richard Wender, MD
Alumni Professor and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Dr. Wender is the president elect of ACS and a co-author of both the ACS colon cancer and prostate cancer screening guidelines. He was the founding Editor of the Primary Care Newsletter published by the American Cancer Society. Currently, Dr. Wender is an at-large member of the National Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society. He Co-Chairs the Primary Care Workgroup for ACS and serves on numerous other committees. He was a member of the ACS colon cancer screening guidelines group, and co-chaired the prostate cancer screening guidelines workgroup. He is a co-author of both the ACS colon cancer and prostate cancer screening guidelines. He is the recipient of the St. George Medal from the American Cancer Society.
Dr. Friedrich Hagenmüller
Professor of Medicine and Head of Department of Medicine, General Hospital Altona, Hamburg, Germany. Professor Hagenmüller is past President of the European Society of GI Endoscopy and The German Society of Endoscopy and Imaging. He is Chairman of the Public Awareness Campaign of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and member of the Public Affairs Committee of the United European Gastroenterology Federation.
Dr. Bernard Levin
Professor of Medicine at the Department of Gastrointestinal Medicine and Nutrition and the Division of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine Houston, Texas. Vice-President for Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences and is the Division Head of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences. Prof. Levin holds a M.B., B.Ch. degree (equivalent to M.D. in the U.S.) from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr. Nadir Arber, MD MSc, MHA
Professor of Medicine and Gastroenterology at Tel Aviv University and Director of the Integrated Cancer Prevention Center in Tel-Aviv medical center, and also serves as the head of the GI Oncology unit in the Department of Gastroenterology in the Tel Aviv Medical Center. He is the head of the GI Oncology Section of the Israel Association of Gastroenterology and a member of the editorial board of a number of international professional peer reviewed journals and conducts both basic and clinical research in the field of colon cancer. He is presently the Co-Lead Principle Investigator (with Bernard Levin), of an international (32 countries), multi center (106) trial, in the secondary prevention of colorectal cancer.
